Job summary

Mason Equity Group seeks a detail‑oriented Property Manager to oversee daily operations across Central Columbus communities. Based onsite at the Easton office, you’ll support properties in the surrounding region, manage leasing, maintenance, and resident relations, and drive compliance with company standards.

You will complete a 90‑day onboarding across multiple communities (Cardington, Columbus, Delaware, Marysville, Newark, and more) before finalizing your regional market assignment.

Property Manager - Central Columbus (Market Determined)

Position Type: Full-Time - M-F 8-5PM

Salary: $50,000-65,000

Location: Onsite at Easton Office (Columbus, OH) + Travel Throughout Central Columbus & Surrounding Region

Travel: Required (Mileage Reimbursed)

Market Assignment: Determined Upon Completion of a 90-Day Training Period

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized, dependable, and proactive Property Manager to oversee daily operations across our Central Columbus portfolio. This individual will be based onsite at our Easton office and will support assigned properties throughout the surrounding region. Responsibilities include leasing oversight, resident relations, maintenance coordination, team leadership, and ensuring each community operates smoothly, safely, and to company standards.

Your designated regional market will be finalized after successful completion of a 90-day training period, during which you will receive comprehensive onboarding across multiple communities. (Cardington, Columbus, Delaware, Marysville, Newark, and more.)

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations for assigned residential communities within the region.
• Supervise, schedule, and direct a maintenance team of 2-5 members to complete work orders, turnovers, and full renovation projects on time and within budget.
• Manage leasing functions: marketing vacancies, conducting showings, screening applicants, preparing lease agreements, and ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant.
• Maintain high standards of property cleanliness, safety, and functionality through routine inspections.
• Respond promptly and professionally to resident inquiries, service requests, and concerns.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, budgets, and move-in/move-out documentation.
• Coordinate and oversee vendor services, approve invoices, and ensure cost-effective operations.
• Partner with internal departments to support occupancy goals, renewals, and resident satisfaction.
• Travel throughout the Central Columbus region as needed (mileage reimbursed).
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal housing laws and company policies.

Qualifications

• Prior property management or leasing experience preferred, maintenance coordination experience a plus.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide, motivate, and support a team.
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer service skills with a resident-first approach.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in property management systems and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
