Job summary

The Unity Council in Oakland oversees all aspects of property operations, including leasing, budgeting, and resident relations, to maintain affordable, well-managed housing for low- and moderate-income households.

Under supervision, the Property Manager ensures regulatory compliance, coordinates with resident services, and leads on-site staff to deliver a safe, inclusive living environment aligned with the agency’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred and beneficial for resident services.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Experience with affordable housing programs and regulatory compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily property operations to ensure safe, compliant housing.
• Supervise on-site staff and coordinate with departments on budgets.
• Manage leasing, income reporting, and regulatory compliance tasks.
• Maintain tenant files, conduct inspections, and enforce lease terms.
• Coordinate resident services and emergency response planning.
