The Unity Council in Oakland, CA is seeking a Property Manager – Live-in to oversee leasing, income and rent compliance, and daily operations for our affordable housing site.

You will supervise on-site staff, manage budgets, coordinate with the City of Oakland and housing authorities, and support residents with housing stability while upholding regulatory requirements. The role includes on-call responsibilities and a residential unit as part of compensation.

Formación

• Minimum two years of experience managing affordable housing communities, preferably LIHTC, HUD, or PBV.
• COS or equivalent certification preferred, or obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Strong knowledge of Fair Housing, ADA/504, and regulatory compliance.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee daily property operations to maintain safe, compliant housing.
• Supervise on-site staff including Assistant Property Manager and janitorial staff.
• Develop and monitor property budgets; review financial statements.
• Maintain rent rolls, occupancy reports, and regulatory documentation.
• Coordinate leases, screenings, recertifications, and move-ins in compliance with regulations.
