Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services partners with a mission‑driven housing organization in downtown Portland to hire a Property Manager or Assistant Property Manager. This full‑time role supports an affordable and permanent supportive housing community, balancing administrative duties with community impact.

You will supervise leasing, resident files, payments, and reporting, coordinate with maintenance and support teams, and help ensure housing stability and resident dignity in a low‑barrier

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in property management, affordable housing, residential housing, or social services setting.
• Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a low-barrier, permanent supportive housing community.
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with patience, professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Support daily property management operations, resident services, leasing activities, and administrative workflows.
• Maintain accurate resident files, rental payment records, recertifications, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Respond to resident questions, concerns, and service needs with professionalism, empathy, and discretion.
• Coordinate with property management, maintenance, and supportive services teams to resolve resident and property-related issues.
• Assist with maintenance requests, inspections, move-ins, resident communications, and community operations.
• Help ensure compliance with affordable housing program requirements, internal policies, and applicable procedures.
