Job summary

Mercy Housing is seeking a Property Manager to lead on-site operations at 1180 4th St, San Francisco. You will oversee site staff, leasing, budget adherence, rent collection, and resident relations to sustain affordable housing communities.

The role emphasizes customer service, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with Maintenance and Resident Services to deliver quality homes and services for residents in an inclusive community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing and Landlord-Tenant laws.
• Experience handling finances.
• Experience in housing or property management including HUD, LIHTC, Rural Housing, Tax-Exempt Bond properties.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Deliver great customer service to residents in partnership with Assistant Property Manager, Maintenance, and Resident Services staff.
• Rent collection, ensure timely payments and achievement of collection benchmarks.
• Maintain occupancy rates at or above budgeted targets by actively managing leasing strategies.
• Manage property operations within approved budget parameters and identifies opportunities for cost savings.
• Regularly reviews and controls property expenses to align with budget goals.
• Drive performance to meet or exceed Controllable Net Operating Income (CNOI) objectives.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including resident files, annual and interim recertifications, and all necessary documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Property Manager will provide leadership to site staff, direction for building operations, customer service, resident relations, property budget management, rent collections, leasing, compliance and guidance on maintenance priorities. We are looking applicable experience in management and customer service.

This position will lead operations at 1180 4th St, San Francisco.

PAY

$32.69 to $34.61

Minimum Qualifications Of Position

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of applicable local and federal housing laws, including Fair Housing and Landlord and Tenant laws.
• Experience being accountable for financials.
• Previous housing or property management experience including HUD, Low Income Tax Credits, Rural Housing, and Tax-Exempt Bond properties.
• Legally operate a motor vehicle (valid driver's license).

Preferred Qualifications Of Position

• Professional certification in property or affordable housing management.
• Minimum two (2) years of administrative, accounting, customer service, and/or supervisory experience.

Knowledge And Skills

• Comprehend and communicate in the English language both orally and in writing.
• Legally operate a motor vehicle (valid driver's license).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
