We create quality housing, a safe and stable environment, and provide superior customer service to help residents improve their lives. We are seeking a property manager to oversee a property in Palatine, IL. The manager will handle daily operations including maintenance, tenant relations, marketing, leasing, contract administration, and financial management, while assisting with long-term planning. The role requires professionalism and timeliness to maintain industry standards.

Job Duties Include But Not Limited To
  • Maintaining the physical assets.
  • Monitoring and scheduling maintenance work with the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Approving emergency maintenance personnel schedules.
  • Conducting follow-up inspections and resident satisfaction surveys.
  • Inspecting grounds and common areas daily.
  • Monitoring and assisting with vacant apartment make-ready processes.
  • Participating in annual unit and site inspections.
  • Recommending expenditures within budget for repairs and improvements.
  • Evaluating maintenance operations for efficiency and cost savings.
  • Addressing construction-related issues.
  • Handling emergencies promptly and notifying corporate staff.
Safety and Security
  • Implementing safety protocols and maintaining security standards.
Marketing and Leasing; Resident and Community Relations
  • Serving as a liaison and advocate for residents with public and private agencies.
Financial Reporting and Staff Management
  • Overseeing financial activities and managing staff.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • High school diploma required; college degree in Urban Planning, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years property management experience, especially with affordable housing, Section 8, LIHTC, or public housing.
  • Ability to obtain relevant certifications within 6 months, including AMP Leasing Certificate, Public Housing Management Certification, Senior Housing Management Certification, RAD PBV Management Certification, LIHTC Certification, and UPCS Inspections Certification.
  • Knowledge of fair housing regulations.
  • IREM ARM designation or ability to obtain.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills; bilingual in Spanish and English required.
  • Computer literacy, including MS Office and property management software.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and supervisory abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle, insurance, and good driving record.
  • Proof of COVID vaccination or exemption.
