Job Description

EXPERIENCED DUE DILIGENCE PROJECT MANAGER needed in the Chicago/Milwaukee area. Share your experience with our team as we develop real and actionable solutions for our clients.

Conducting Property and Facility Condition Assessments are the main tasks for this position. Site visits may require overnight travel. We are looking for a professional who can provide quality, detailed reporting for our clients. Some projects require teams, while others are completed individually. Assessments cover built structures and cash reserve tables for upcoming repairs to be included in reports.

General Responsibilities:

Diagnose and develop repair/restoration solutions for the built environment. This includes all major components and systems of buildings and infrastructure. Projects primarily involve property and facility condition assessments, which may include evaluations and testing of building systems. Assessment techniques include visual examinations, document review, reporting, and estimation of capital projects. Client deliverables consist of reports of findings and recommendations, and may include development of restoration design documents and construction oversight.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Manage and execute routine and complex small to medium-sized projects as a mid-level facilities professional.
  • Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate assessments, inspections, data collection, and testing of properties, buildings, and roofs.
  • Assist in preparing client proposals, cost estimates, and routine to complex client deliverables.
  • Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning and report safety issues to management.
  • Maintain quality standards on all projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in building science or related field with 5-7 years' experience in facility assessment, or 9-11 years' related experience without a degree.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn other software applications.
  • Experience using tablets and electronic devices.
  • Ability to work remotely from home and while traveling.
  • Travel may be up to 50% of the time.

This position is categorized as a "Remote Only" position and does not have a designated office workspace. Remote work from home or while traveling is typical at Terracon.

Preferred Certification:
  • Registered Roof Consultant (RRC), Registered Waterproofing Consultant (RWC), or similar certification is preferred but not required.
Salary Range:

Minimum $66,300 - Maximum $92,800. Final compensation depends on individual qualifications and experience.
