Job summary

CBRE, Inc. is seeking a Property Manager to supervise a team handling all operational and financial activities for a portfolio of commercial properties in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The role is onsite and focuses on tenant relations, budget management, and reporting.

You will coordinate daily activities, mentor staff, and ensure CBRE RI SE values are reflected in all interactions, while delivering accurate, timely reports to owners and clients.

Responsibilities

• Respond to tenant needs and issues.
• Serve as primary contact with property owners; prepare timely reports.
• Develop and control annual operating and capital budgets; forecast plans and monthly variance reports.
• Assist in creating programs for emergency recoveries.
• Prepare required legal notices for approval.
• Review rent and reconcile CAM recovery charges to ensure timely payments.
• Provide supervision to employees; oversee training, evaluations, mentoring, and hiring.
• Coordinate team daily activities; set schedules, cross-train staff, track goals.
• Lead by example consistent with CBRE RISE values; influence stakeholders to reach agreements.
• Apply knowledge across fields to meet team objectives.
• Identify and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues in systems and processes.

About The Role:

As a CBRE Property Manager, you will be responsible for supervising the team responsible for all operational and financial activities of a portfolio of commercial properties.

This job is part of the Property Management job function. They are responsible for operating buildings on behalf of a client or group.

The role is onsite in Fort Lauderdale, FL USA.

What You'll Do:

• Respond to raised tenant needs and issues.
• Act as primary contact with property owners, serving as owner representative to ensure that objectives are being met. Prepare and deliver timely, accurate and complete reports.
• Develop and control annual budgets for operating and capital expenses. Forecast management plans and prepare monthly performance reports, explaining variances.
• Help create programs that will assist the property with emergency recoveries.
• Prepare all required legal notices for approval.
• Review tenant rent as well as calculate and reconcile common area maintenance recovery charges to ensure payment is timely.
• Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and mentorship. Lead all aspects of the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
• Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department goal dates. Mentor and coach as needed.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
• Apply knowledge of own field and how own subject area integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
