Job summary

Qualifications

• 7 years of general business management or property management experience.
• 1 year of property management experience required.
• Experience overseeing commercial office operations with budgets over $2M.
• Knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety.
• Ability to administer CMMS and manage preventive maintenance.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as facilities management lead for roughly one-third of CT's statewide real estate portfolio.

Job description

The Property Management Liaison serves as the facilities management lead for approximately one-third of Connecticut's statewide real estate portfolio of 6 million square feet. This role oversees complex building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems, managing operations, preventive maintenance, capital planning, and budgets across assigned state facilities. The position is based in Hartford with hybrid flexibility and requires after-hours emergency response availability.

Key qualifications

• 7 years of general business management, property management, or business contract administration experience
• 1 year of property management experience required
• Experience overseeing commercial office operations with budgets over $2M
• Knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, and life safety systems
• Ability to administer Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and manage preventive maintenance
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
