The State of Connecticut, Department of Administrative Services (DAS), Facilities Management Division is now accepting applications from qualified individuals for a Property Management Liaison position.
The Facilities Management Division oversees a statewide real estate portfolio of approximately 6 million square feet, including commercial office buildings, high rise facilities, laboratory spaces, and structured parking. The division manages an annual operating budget of approximately $30 million and is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable building operations across all properties.

The Property Management Liaison will be assigned responsibility for approximately one third of this portfolio and will serve as the facilities management lead for their designated buildings. This role carries significant responsibility for the performance, maintenance, and reliability of complex building systems—including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, life safety systems, vertical transportation, energy management systems, and associated infrastructure.
The Liaison will oversee operations, monitor preventive and corrective maintenance, support capital planning efforts, and ensure that all building services are delivered within established budgetary parameters. The role requires judgment in balancing operational needs and fiscal stewardship.
DAS provides timely and cost-effective services to state agencies, state employees, municipalities, private industry, and the public. In the Department of Administrative Services this class is accountable for performing as a specialist in property management functions to ensure contractual compliance by vendors and contractors under departmental jurisdiction.
Seven (7) years of experience in general business management, property management or business contract administration.
One (1) year of the General Experience must have been in property management.
College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equaling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor's degree.
