Job summary

Schaffer's Mill, located in Truckee, CA, is seeking a Part‑Time Maintenance & Maintenance Coordination Assistant. This hands‑on role combines property upkeep with coordinating larger repairs through trusted vendors.

Ideal candidates have handyman experience, are reliable, organized, and able to work independently. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, safety device checks, minor repairs, and on‑site vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• Previous property maintenance or handyman experience required.
• Comfortable troubleshooting plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances and general issues.
• Able to safely use common hand and power tools.
• Reliable, independent and detail oriented with strong problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance across properties.
• Replace HVAC filters and smoke detector batteries; test safety devices.
• Address minor electrical, plumbing and appliance issues.
• Coordinate larger repairs with vendors and meet them on site.
• Maintain records of maintenance performed and supplies used.
• Respond to maintenance requests and communicate status to management.
