Job summary

The Scion Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Columbus, OH, to respond to maintenance requests, perform preventive tasks, and prepare apartments for turnovers. This role emphasizes safety, quality service, and timely completion to support resident satisfaction.

You will handle basic repairs across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance areas while documenting work and coordinating with management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and a safety-minded attitude.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical condition of the property per SOPs and OSHA standards.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks to keep assets functional.
• Complete service requests and document work performed with notes and materials used.
• Assist in preparing units for turnover and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Routinely perform basic appliance repair, carpentry, plumbing, painting, and minor electrical work.
• Promote positive relations with residents, staff, contractors, and management.
• Be available for after-hours and weekend emergencies and participate in an on-call rotation.
