Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform maintenance and make-ready tasks at our stabilized garden-style communities. The role requires diagnosing defects, repairing systems, and preparing vacant units for leasing, with on-call responsibilities and a schedule from Tuesday to Friday 9-6 and Saturday 8-5.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of maintenance experience, EPA refrigerant certifications, and valid driver’s license for on-site golf cart operations.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of maintenance experience
• EPA Type 1/II or Universal refrigerant certification
• State and local certifications as required
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and performing repairs per safety standards.
• Performs make-ready tasks to prepare vacant units, completes pre-move-out inspections, creates punch lists, and coordinates vendors and materials.
• Tracks inventory and resources, returns unused items to proper locations, and notifies supervisor about re-ordering needs.
• Documents service requests clearly and timely for accurate tracking and reporting.
• Maintains grounds and common areas, performs cleaning, painting, and basic upkeep as needed.
• Supports cost-containment by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using tools efficiently.
