Job summary

Hyder Property Management Professionals is hiring a Maintenance Technician to preserve the condition of 218 units and common areas. You will perform painting, plumbing, HVAC installations, landscaping, and other tasks, working autonomously within safety guidelines.

The role requires English proficiency, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a professional appearance. Strong reliability and timely completion of work orders are essential for on-site property operations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
• Must follow the Injury and Illness Prevention Plan and read safety labels.
• Must follow and give technical instructions.

Responsibilities

• Meet with site manager weekly to discuss property needs and monthly budget.
• Assist in planning and implementation of Preventive Maintenance Plan and semi-annual inspections.
• Prepare a weekly work schedule, coordinate tasks and ensure timely completion of work orders and repairs.
• Set on-call schedule for weekend and after-hours emergencies and follow Crisis Management Plan when needed.
• Perform in-house electrical, plumbing, HVAC, irrigation and janitorial work, and maintain common areas including parking lots and playground equipment.
• Respond to tenant repair requests and take prompt corrective action on deficiencies (emergencies immediate, non-emergency 24–72 hours).
• Maintain tools, equipment and inventory; uphold OSHA/MSDS/Safety measures.
• Obtain labor and material costs for major repairs and ensure purchases have prior approval.
