Job summary

Greystar in Irving, TX is seeking a Service Technician responsible for performing technical and mechanical work to keep buildings and common areas up to company standards. Duties include responding to resident service requests, diagnosing issues, and completing repairs in line with safety policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose and repair building systems according to policy and safety standards.
• Experience performing make-ready inspections and coordinating with vendors.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety procedures and maintenance best practices.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance on the property.
• Completes the “make-ready” process for vacant apartments and coordinates vendors.
• Accesses and inventories materials, tracks usage, and notifies supervisor for re-orders.
• Completes documentation for service requests for tracking.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities; cleans and paints as needed.
• Supports cost-control by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible.
