Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician in Albuquerque to maintain buildings, grounds, and amenities while ensuring safety and quality standards. You will handle work orders, prepare vacant units for leasing, manage inventory, and document all maintenance activities.

Responsibilities include inspecting work, coordinating with contractors, and supporting cost-control practices. The role requires physical stamina to perform field tasks and adhere to safety policies in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders generated from resident requests for service, diagnosing the defect or problem and repairing per policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing by performing pre-move-out inspections, creating a punch list, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, completing tasks, and inspecting completed work.
• Follows procedures to access materials, tracks inventory, returns unused items, and notifies the maintenance supervisor about re-ordering needs.
• Completes documentation and paperwork to ensure service requests are properly documented and tracked.
• Assists in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities by trash pickup, pressure-washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible and using tools and materials efficiently.
• Complies with safety and risk-management policies by attending safety meetings and completing required OSHA trainings, and by promptly reporting accidents.
• May periodically inspect work performed by contractors and vendors to verify quality and scope.
• Assists in conducting routine property inspections to identify safety concerns and communicate them to management.
• Physical Demands: ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and to bend, stoop, climb ladders, and reach.
