Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the physical aspects of the property meet standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This role performs tasks from work orders to make-ready inspections and supports groundskeeping and minor repairs on site in Albuquerque, NM.

The position requires following safety procedures, documenting work, and potentially flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have all certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and performs preventative maintenance to meet safety and code standards.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing by conducting pre-move-out inspections, creating a punch list, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, and inspecting work.
• Follows procedures to access and obtain materials and equipment, tracks inventory, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor for re-ordering needs.
• Completes documentation and paperwork to document and track service requests.
• Assists in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, painting curbs/signage, and pressure-washing breezeways and pool areas.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing parts where feasible and using tools and materials efficiently.
• Complies with safety policies by attending safety meetings, completing required training, and reporting incidents.
• Inspects work by contractors and vendors to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
• Assists in property inspections to identify safety concerns and communicate needs to management.
