Job summary

Eastwood Management Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to assist the Maintenance Tech II or Supervisor in completing work orders, property upkeep, and responsive maintenance across the property. You will work with the team to ensure a fully functional building and timely issue resolution.

The role requires basic carpentry, painting prep, drywall and plumbing knowledge, and diligence in safety practices. Valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or GED are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of carpentry or construction.
• Knowledge and experience of painting & prep.
• Knowledge of drywall installation and maintenance.
• Knowledge of and experience with safety equipment.
• General appliance knowledge.
• General plumbing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Ensure work orders are completed accurately and on time.
• Ensure that work done on work orders is of high quality
• Ensure work orders are done as assigned, and any new issues are brought to the supervisor’s attention
• Ensure all safety measures are followed and equipment used properly
• Maintain and upkeep tools and equipment used during the day
• Update Maintenance Supervisor regularly throughout the day on status of work orders
• Professionally communicate with residents and staff
• Assist in proactively monitoring property for maintenance needs to address concerns before they become critical
• Assist in cold/inclement weather preparation and maintenance
• Regular and consistent attendance
