Job summary

Greystar in San Diego is seeking a Service Technician to maintain the property’s buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas to ensure cleanliness, appearance, safety, and full functionality.

The role requires 1–2 years of property maintenance experience, HVAC experience, and familiarity with Yardi and Happy Co. A valid driver’s license and EPA certifications are preferred; a 20% housing discount is available for onsite staff.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of property maintenance experience required.
• HVAC experience required.
• Experience with Yardi and Happy Co highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance by diagnosing causes, repairing per safety standards and code requirements.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing by inspecting, listing repairs, scheduling vendors, and ensuring tasks are completed.
• Tracks inventory and retrieves materials from the maintenance department, notifies supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Completes documentation and paperwork to document and track service requests.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, painting curbs and signage, and debris removal.
• Supports cost-cutting by repairing parts rather than replacing when possible and using tools efficiently.
