Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain the physical aspects of the property, ensuring safety, cleanliness and functionality at our San Jose communities.

You will perform make-readies, respond to work orders, manage inventories, and assist in grounds upkeep while adhering to safety standards. EPA refrigerant certifications and a valid driver’s license are required; HVAC and basic plumbing knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of maintenance experience.
• Strong HVAC skills.
• Basic plumbing knowledge.
• Hands-on experience in maintenance or multifamily environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work orders and preventative maintenance following safety standards.
• Execute make-ready process for vacant units and coordinate with vendors.
• Track materials, inventory, and documentation of work performed.
• Maintain grounds and common areas and assist with cleaning and painting tasks.
• Conserve costs by repairing rather than replacing parts where feasible.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and report incidents promptly.
