Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician in San Diego, CA to ensure the physical aspects of buildings meet safety, cleanliness, and functional standards. The role involves responding to resident service requests, performing preventative maintenance, and managing make-ready processes for vacant units.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per safety standards and code requirements.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including pre-move-out inspections and scheduling vendors.
• Follows procedures to access materials from the property’s maintenance dept., tracks inventory, and notifies supervision for re-orders.
• Completes documentation and paperwork to record service requests accurately.
• Assists in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, painting curbs and signage, and debris removal.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing parts and using tools/materials efficiently.
