Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Portland, OR to perform a broad range of apartment and property maintenance duties under the supervision of the maintenance supervisor. You will help sustain curb appeal and ensure resident satisfaction through timely repairs and proactive upkeep.

Responsibilities include electrical, plumbing, appliance, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance; carpentry tasks like wallboard repair and cabinet replacement; keeping up with work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in property management or related field.
• General maintenance and general carpentry skills.
• Must read, write and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance as dictated by state guidelines.
• Perform general carpentry duties such as wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, finish carpentry, window/glass repair, door/lock repair, and ceramic tile repair.
• Perform proactive preventative maintenance including siding, painting, lighting, sprinkler, pool, elevator and more.
• Maintain work order system and ensure timely completion to company standards and resident satisfaction.
• Inspect property grounds, buildings, and common area amenities for safety and cleanliness; identify issues needing maintenance or replacement.
• Assist with property emergencies (snow removal, fires, floods) and on-call maintenance.
• Communicate with maintenance leadership regarding issues; promote safety and risk management.
