Job summary

United Church Homes, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance professional for St. Michael's Community to maintain all property areas and assist with unit turnover and repairs.

The role includes troubleshooting appliances, performing preventive maintenance, and coordinating with staff to prepare vacant units for new residents. The position requires a High School diploma or GED, 1+ year of related experience, and a valid driver's license if travel between locations.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED required.
• 1+ year of related maintenance experience preferred.
• Electrical, plumbing, HVAC, landscaping, carpentry knowledge helpful; basic certs encouraged.
• Valid driver’s license required if travel between locations.
• Adept with a wide range of hand and power tools and equipment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to organize and prioritize work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all areas of the property and surroundings.
• Complete work orders from Housing Manager.
• Troubleshoot appliances in resident units.
• Coordinate with office staff to prepare units for new residents.
• Emplace regular cleaning and maintenance tasks in common areas.
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues as part of on-call duties.
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors for large projects.
• Assist with training Maintenance staff as needed.
