Job summary

POAH Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Brandy Hill Apartments in Wareham, MA. This role requires hands-on leadership with experience in apartment maintenance and a commitment to safe, high-quality property management.

Brandy Hill Apartments offer amenities and a natural setting; responsibilities include preventive maintenance, make-ready work, and safety compliance. Flexible schedule, weekends and on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of apartment maintenance experience.
• High School diploma or GED required; HVAC certification preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and auto insurance may be required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and on-call.
• Skilled in safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
• Ability to perform duties 66–100% of the time: standing, bending, climbing stairs, lifting up to 75lbs.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Insuring a safe, secure and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors and staff.
• Knowledgeable of pertinent laws and EPA and OSHA regulations.
• Aware of the condition of apartment property throughout the community and initiate action to correct unsafe conditions.
• Scheduling and performing routine preventative maintenance on all appropriate equipment.
• Performing work area clean-up and safety related duties.
• Diagnosing and perform minor and routine maintenance/repairs.
• Insuring all make-ready repairs and services are completed.
• Inspecting and helping coordinate all needed make-ready repairs and services.
• Assisting in keeping grounds neat and clean. Rake, sweep, shovel as necessary.
