Job summary

POAH Communities seeks a Maintenance Technician to lead hands-on maintenance and repairs at Flat 9 Whittier in Roxbury, Boston. The role involves ensuring safe and comfortable living spaces, performing preventative maintenance, and coordinating make-ready work across the property.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in apartment maintenance; a High School diploma or GED is required, HVAC certification is preferred, and a valid driver's license with insurance may be needed for travel between

Qualifications

Experience in apartment maintenance (1+ year).
High School diploma or GED required.
HVAC certification preferred.
Must have valid Driver's License and automobile insurance.
Flexible schedule including weekends and on-call basis.

Responsibilities

Provide a safe, secure and comfortable living environment for residents and staff.
Be knowledgeable of applicable laws and EPA/OSHA regulations.
Inspect property conditions and initiate corrections for unsafe conditions.
Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment.
Perform work area cleanup and safety duties; diagnose and repair minor problems.
Ensure all make-ready repairs and services are completed.
Coordinate and inspect required make-ready work and services.
Assist in keeping grounds neat and clean.
