Job summary

Greystar seeks a Maintenance Technician to manage service requests, diagnose issues, and perform upkeep across the community. You will ensure cleanliness, safety, and functionality of buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas in alignment with Greystar standards.

Responsibilities include completing make-ready tasks for new move-ins, inspecting contractor work, managing supplies, and contributing to budget planning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade.
• Incumbents must provide own hand tools and be skilled in safe use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to identify and fix problems.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication with residents and team members.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair building defects per policies, safety standards, and codes.
• Oversee and complete make-ready process for vacant units and move-ins, including inspections and vendor coordination.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspect work of service team members and contractors for quality and compliance.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and assist in budgeting for repairs and projects.
