Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team and ensure upkeep of buildings and grounds.

Responsibilities include scheduling daily tasks, interviewing and training staff, maintaining safety standards, managing inventory and vendor work, and providing 24-hour on-call support as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in HVAC, plumbing and electrical.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail.
• Ability to operate various hand tools including power tools.
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts.
• Property maintenance/handyman experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and schedule daily maintenance tasks including preparing vacant units for occupancy and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with interviewing, screening, and making recommendations for service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel with the manager.
• Assist in training of all service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel.
• Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Improve processes and maintenance methods.
• Maintain MSDS sheets and replacement logs.
• Hold the maintenance team accountable to attendance and performance.
• Schedule and supervise vendor work.
• Manage inventory, ordering and delivery of supplies for service, custodial and grounds.
• Ensure OSHA standards and company safety policies are followed.
• Handle lock-outs and 24-hour service responses.
