Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team across the property, overseeing upkeep and repairs of buildings and grounds. You will schedule tasks, prep vacant units, and ensure safety policies are followed.

The role requires knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, strong organization, and the ability to work with vendors and staff. On-call availability and 24/7 response may be required.

Qualifications

• HVAC, plumbing, and electrical knowledge.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail.
• Ability to operate various hand tools including power tools.
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts.
• Property maintenance/handyman experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and schedule daily maintenance tasks including preparing vacant units for occupancy and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with interviewing, screening, and making recommendations for service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel in conjunction with the manager.
• Assist in the training of all service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel.
• Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Take the initiative to improve processes and maintenance methods.
• Maintain MSDS sheets and replacement logs.
• Ensure OSHA standards and company safety policies are complied with at all times.
• Handle lock-outs due to evictions and provide 24-hour response to service requests.
• Be available to work on an on-call basis.
• Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents.
• Remove snow and ice as necessary.
• Ensure necessary tools are on hand.
