Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team across properties, oversee repairs, and ensure safe, efficient operation of buildings and grounds.

You will schedule daily tasks, train and supervise staff, manage vendor work, handle inventory, and enforce OSHA safety policies while delivering timely service.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
• Self-motivated with attention to detail
• Ability to operate various hand tools including power tools
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts
• Property maintenance/handyman experience
• Supervisory experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform and schedule daily maintenance tasks including preparing vacant units for occupancy and preventative maintenance
• Assist with interviewing, screening, and making recommendations for service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel with the manager
• Assist in training of all service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel
• Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment
• Schedule and supervise vendor work
• Manage inventory, ordering, and delivery of supplies for service, custodial and grounds teams
• Ensure OSHA standards and safety policies are followed at all times
• Handle lock-outs due to evictions and respond to service requests on-call
• Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents
• Remove snow and ice as necessary
• Ensure necessary tools are on hand
