Job summary

Greystar is seeking a maintenance professional to oversee and perform technical and mechanical work across indoor and outdoor community spaces. You will diagnose defects, perform repairs, and manage make-ready tasks for vacant units in alignment with safety policies and Greystar standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Incumbents must provide own hand tools and must be knowledgeable and skilled in safe use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define and correct problems.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication with residents and team members.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to represent company management.

Responsibilities

• Assists and completes work orders from resident requests and routine upkeep by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies and safety standards.
• Oversees and completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing and new move-ins.
• Develops standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, amenities, buildings, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspects work by service team members to assess policy effectiveness and plan improvements.
• Periodically inspects work by contractors to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
• Maintains adequate inventory of spare parts and materials; assists Community Manager with budgeting.
• Completes monthly preventive maintenance procedures and supports cost-control programs.
