Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC is seeking a proactive Maintenance Technician to join our community operations in Mesa, AZ. You will diagnose defects from resident requests, perform routine upkeep, and ensure safety and quality across grounds, exteriors, and units.

You will collaborate with the Community Manager on budgets, order supplies, and complete preventative maintenance, while upholding Greystar standards and providing excellent resident service. HVAC certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Incumbents must provide own hand tools unless prohibited by State law and must be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, user-moved aids, mechanical equipment and measuring devices.
• Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define and correct problems.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication skills to interact with residents, clients, and team members.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to represent company management and support department operations.
• Proficiency in internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and database management; PMI/CMMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists and completes work orders from resident requests andRoutine upkeep by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policy and safety rules.
• Oversees and completes the make-ready process, prepares vacant units for leasing, and schedules vendors.
• Sets standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, buildings, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Inspects work by other staff and contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintains stock of spare parts and coordinates supplies with the Community Manager.
• Performs monthly preventative maintenance and supports budget planning for repairs and capital projects.
