Job summary

Greystar is seeking a maintenance professional to oversee and perform routine and preventive work across community buildings, grounds, and amenities in Tempe, AZ. You will diagnose issues, repair systems, and help prepare units for new residents.

The role requires high school level education, hands-on trade experience, and EPA/HVAC certifications as applicable, with a focus on safety, quality, and customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Must provide own hand tools and be skilled with hand/power tools and measuring devices.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to define and correct problems.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills to interact with residents and team.

Responsibilities

• Assist and complete work orders from resident requests; diagnose defects and perform repairs following safety standards.
• Oversee and complete make-ready process to prepare vacant units for leasing; schedule vendors and obtain materials.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, interiors, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspect work of service team members and contractors; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain inventory and assist Community Manager with budgeting for repairs and maintenance.
