Job summary

Capital Square is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to oversee maintenance and upkeep across the community. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and manage the make-ready process for vacant units in coordination with vendors and the Service Manager.

You will also help maintain grounds and amenities, inspect contractor work, manage inventory, and support cost-control and safety programs while delivering responsive service to residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to identify and fix problems.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient with internet, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

Responsibilities

• Assist Service Manager with delegating and completing work orders from residents.
• Diagnose defects, perform repairs, and maintain property to policy standards.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant units and coordinate vendors.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities; perform cleaning and painting as needed.
• Inspect work and ensure contractors meet quality standards and budget guidance.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance materials; assist with budgeting.
