Job summary

Lyons HR, LLC is seeking an experienced Property Maintenance Technician / Handyman to provide on-site maintenance for a portfolio of residential properties in Oak Ridge and Knoxville, TN. The ideal candidate works independently, troubleshoots issues, and completes quality repairs with minimal supervision.

You will perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general upkeep, while coordinating with property owners and tenants. Own tools and reliable transport are required.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining rental homes or residential properties.
• Ability to diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and painting.
• Own tools and reliable transportation.
• Valid driver's license.
• Physically able to perform demanding maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs at occupied and vacant rental properties.
• Diagnose maintenance issues and determine repair solutions.
• Complete minor plumbing repairs (faucets, toilets, drains, fixtures).
• Do basic electrical work where permitted.
• Repair drywall, paint, and touch-ups.
• Repair and replace doors, locks, and hardware.
• Carpentry and flooring repairs; general upkeep.
• Assist with turnovers to prepare homes for new tenants.
• Identify maintenance concerns and suggest preventive actions.
• Communicate with owners, management, and tenants.
• Provide timely updates on requests and materials needed.
• Respond to emergencies as availability allows.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
