Real Property Management Rental Solutions, a leading property management company in Middle Tennessee, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle handyman work for our ever-growing portfolio of single-family rental homes.

OVERVIEW:

Strong candidates for the Maintenance Technician will bring a wide range of knowledge of general handyman skills such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, dry walling, landscaping, and HVAC. The Handyman personnel will perform tasks assigned by the Maintenance Manager and authorized by the company. This position will be responsible for the timely and professional completion of tasks while maintaining excellent communication, follow through, and with a proficiency with technology.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Prior maintenance experience needed: general maintenance and repair knowledge


• Own tools necessary for basic Handyman functions


• Ability to prepare, write and communicate effectively and professionally with clients and staff via calls, texts, and emails


• Ability to schedule and document hours as well as expenses/receipts for authorized material purchases


• Ability to work with property management software (knowledge of Appfolio and zInspector software a plus but not required)


• Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives promptly and resolve issues


• Some tasks may require the occasional weekend or evening


• Travel to job sites throughout Middle Tennessee will be necessary- valid drivers license required. Company vehicle provided.

The Maintenance Technician is highly organized with strong time management skills and an understanding of prioritization. Naturally driven to provide excellent customer service and to instill trust, the Maintenance Technician is a natural communicator with good attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and a professional demeanor. Candidates must be willing to work independently, yet be available by phone, email and text during certain designated hours to answer inquiries from tenants and team regarding open maintenance issues, billing and other maintenance-related tasks. The list of projects the technician may be asked to perform is extensive and varies from tasks that take little time, such as changing a light bulb, to more extensive projects requiring multiple steps, such as property renovations.

Salary commiserate with experience.
