Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC seeks a Maintenance Technician to ensure community buildings, grounds, and common areas meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and function. You will handle work orders, manage make-ready tasks, and supervise vendors and contractors to uphold quality across all spaces.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to interact with residents and staff.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair work orders from resident requests per policies and codes.
• Oversee the make-ready process for vacant units: inspections, punch list, scheduling vendors.
• Develop and maintain standards for grounds and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspect work by team members and contractors; implement corrective actions.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts; coordinate with Community Manager on purchasing.
• Complete monthly preventative maintenance per Policy and Procedure Manual.
• Assist Community Manager in budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
• Support cost-saving by repairing rather than replacing parts; proper tool use.
• Conduct safety meetings; ensure MSDS current; comply with OSHA requirements.
• Provide courteous, responsive customer service to residents and colleagues.
