Job summary

Hunt Companies, Inc in San Antonio seeks a Maintenance Director to preserve the property's physical condition, safety, and comfort for 500–950 units. You will lead maintenance staff, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with safety and company policies.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance programs, vendor management, inspections, and coordinating make-readies for vacant units, while delivering reliable service and maximizing cash flow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in related field.
• 4-6 years in building maintenance required.
• Experience managing staff and budgets.
• Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Willing to lift up to 50 lbs and work on-call shifts.
• Valid driver's license and EPA/OSHA certifications.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, coach, evaluate, and discipline maintenance staff.
• Manage property budget to maximize cash flow after debt service.
• Coordinate vendor communications and approve invoices.
• Schedule and supervise maintenance personnel and ensure training compliance.
• Oversee inspections and ensure safety and compliance.
• Prioritize work orders and ensure timely completion.
