Job summary

Hunt Companies is seeking a Maintenance Manager to assist the Maintenance Director in keeping our properties safe, attractive, and well-maintained. You will establish preventive maintenance, inspect property and equipment, supervise staff, and prepare work schedules while ensuring adherence to maintenance policies.

You may handle service requests and unit preparations for rent, including painting and landscape tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Advanced training or degree in building maintenance, management, construction, or related subject preferred.
• 5+ years' experience in building maintenance.
• 1-3 years staff supervisory experience.
• Experience with administrative reporting and Yardi preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervises Maintenance Technicians, including hiring, training, performance management, and termination.
• Manage the maintenance budget to control expenses within purchasing guidelines.
• Schedule, train, supervise, and evaluate all maintenance personnel.
• Prioritize work orders and ensure timely completion.
• Ensure on-time response and completion of work orders.
• Establish emergency on-call procedures.
• Oversee company-owned equipment and tools.
• Assist in make-ready of vacant units and property inspections.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and company policies.
