Job summary

Balfour Beatty Communities is hiring a Maintenance Manager to lead a team of technicians and grounds staff at a residential community. You will oversee daily operations, ensure safety and quality, manage work orders, and coordinate with environmental and safety teams to maintain compliance and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of property management or maintenance operations experience.
• Minimum of one year of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety compliance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, financial reporting, inventory control, procurement, customer service, recruitment and development for an assigned maintenance team.
• Direct and support grounds and landscaping teams to maintain curb appeal and property standards.
• Oversee work across trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing, carpentry, painting, etc.) ensuring quality and safety.
• Coach and supervise maintenance staff on safety practices and PPE usage.
• Organize and assign work orders to meet response times and quality standards.
• Track key metrics and report progress to support continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with environmental, safety, and vendors to ensure compliant, timely work orders.
• Prepare and maintain OSHA logs and safety documentation.
