Job summary

Balfour Beatty Communities is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance technicians and grounds staff across residential communities. You will ensure quality workmanship, timely responses to service requests, and compliance with Fair Housing and safety standards.

The role covers daily operations, budgeting, procurement, and supervision, with a focus on safety, training, and performance management across multiple trades and teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of property management or maintenance operations experience.
• “College courses or technical training preferred with relevant trade certifications and licenses.”
• “Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety compliance requirements.”
• “Experience coordinating maintenance teams and managing work orders.”

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee maintenance technicians, roads and grounds personnel, and work order staff.
• Coordinate with environmental, safety, and operations teams to ensure timely, compliant work orders.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs for HVAC systems and building infrastructure.
• Track key work order metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure safety and housekeeping standards across maintenance operations.
