Job summary

Balfour Beatty Communities is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead a team of maintenance technicians and grounds staff at a residential property. You will oversee safety, scheduling, and workmanship to meet company standards and regulatory requirements.

The role requires 3+ years in property maintenance or management and at least 1 year of supervisory experience; OSHA familiarity and strong communication are essential. Night/weekend on-call duties may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three years of property management or maintenance operations experience.
• Minimum of one year of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of property and facilities management.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office; Yardi experience preferred.
• Possession of a valid state-issued driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive management oversight across operations, financial reporting, procurement, and staffing for maintenance teams.
• Direct and support grounds, landscaping, and property upkeep to meet curb appeal standards.
• Oversee diverse maintenance tasks across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and more.
• Train and supervise staff on safety practices and PPE usage.
• Manage work orders, response times, and customer service quality.
• Coordinate with environmental, safety, and operations teams for compliant work orders.
• Maintain OSHA logs and safety documentation; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Ensure preventive maintenance and service requests meet company standards.
