Job summary

Greystar in Charlotte, NC is seeking a maintenance technician to uphold safety, cleanliness, and functionality across the community. You will diagnose resident requests, complete work orders, and manage the make-ready process for vacant units in the NoDa area.

Responsibilities include inspecting grounds, coordinating vendors, maintaining parts inventory, and supporting budget planning for repairs and capital projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or related experience.
• Experience in property maintenance or related trade preferred.
• Must be knowledgeable and skilled in safe use of hand tools and measuring devices.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal certifications preferred for HVAC work.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair maintenance defects from resident requests and routine upkeep per policy and safety standards.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant units, create punch lists, schedule vendors, obtain supplies, and ensure timely turnover.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, amenities, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspect work by staff and contractors to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools; assist Community Manager with budgets and cost-control programs.
