Job summary

University Partners is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily maintenance operations and ensure a safe, attractive community for residents. You will schedule work orders, prepare apartments for occupancy, and oversee maintenance staff and vendors to meet timelines.

The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience in building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical), strong leadership, and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent; 2–3 years hands‑on general maintenance experience.
• HVAC, plumbing, electrical system knowledge and basic construction.
• Ability to read technical procedures and budgets; strong written and verbal communication.
• Strong leadership with focus on customer service and safety, and ability to work with vendors and staff.
• Willingness to work weekends/overtime and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Schedule work orders and prepare apartments for occupancy.
• Inspect and maintain common areas, grounds, and systems; coordinate staff and vendors.
• Maintain safety, compliance, inventory, warranties, preventive maintenance, and records.
• Review budgets, capital needs, and contractor performance with the Community Manager.
• Ensure routine service requests are completed within 24 hours; train and supervise staff.
