Property Maintenance Lead — Assistant Service Manager

Job summary

AOG Living in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to oversee property upkeep, make-readies, preventative maintenance, and rehab projects for an apartment community, including grounds and pool duties as needed.

You will report to the Community Manager and Service Manager and must have strong plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair skills, read diagrams, maintain safety standards, and coordinate with vendors and residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years of multi-family experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• HVAC/Freon Recovery certification or ability to become certified within the first 6 months.
• Training in household repairs, plumbing and mold detection/resolution preferred.
• Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAMT) preferred.
• Must have certifications/permits required by city or state to perform job responsibilities (i.e. pool operations).

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident/management requests and work orders.
• Repair/replace appliances, plumbing, air conditioning/heating/electrical as needed.
• Repair/replace apartment materials and make-readies within management scope.
