Job summary

Hunt Military Communities is seeking a Maintenance Director to oversee the maintenance of 950+ units, drive financial and operational performance, and lead a team of maintenance staff. The role requires coordinating with vendors, ensuring safety and compliance, and maintaining preventive maintenance programs.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in building maintenance, strong leadership and budgeting skills, and knowledge across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in building maintenance.
• Experience managing others preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to perform physical outdoor work and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Manage staff recruitment, hiring, training, coaching, evaluating, and disciplinary actions up to termination.
• Oversee financial performance within the property budget and maximize cash flow post-debt service.
• Coordinate vendor/contractor communications, scheduling, billing, and insurance certifications.
• Schedule, train, supervise, and evaluate maintenance personnel and ensure required training.
