Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking an Assistant Maintenance to support the maintenance supervisor and preserve the property’s physical integrity. You’ll coordinate with the leasing team to maximize renewals and leasing opportunities, while upholding safety and company policies.

Responsibilities include timely handling of service requests, routine maintenance, and record-keeping; on-call duties and occasional travel may be required. English proficiency is essential; Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of full-time apartment maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
• EPA refrigerant certification.
• Must have strong English communication; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Own a basic set of hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Willing to travel to other locations as needed.
• Ability to work some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests within 24 hours.
• Assist in managing the system for handling service requests and on-call rotation.
• Ensure safety compliance with policies and laws.
• Assist in distributing flyers and other materials.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspect equipment.
• Maintain records of preventive maintenance and make-ready status.
• Assist in preparing the property for inspections.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
