Qualifications

• Field inspections experience in insurance, fire bureau, consulting or brokerage preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, preferably fire protection.
• Knowledge of sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems and loss prevention concepts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct property loss control inspections of process industries and commercial properties.
• Perform risk assessment reviews for underwriters and clients during meetings and presentations.
• Evaluate sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and building additions and provide guidance to clients.
• Maintain inspection records and write survey reports analyzing findings.
• Provide guidance to underwriting staff regarding risk quality and insurability.
• Travel up to 25% and participate in on-site surveys and reporting.
