Job summary

SCOR is seeking a senior underwriter for property facultative reinsurance in the United States. You will drive business development, origination, and ongoing maintenance of SCOR's facultative offering to cedants and brokers, with a focus on profitability and market leadership.

The role emphasizes strong technical underwriting, collaboration across SCOR globally, and strategic market engagement. Responsibilities include negotiating terms, managing existing portfolios, and working with analytics

Qualifications

8+ years of US facultative property underwriting experience.
Degree in insurance, risk management, math, engineering or science.

Responsibilities

Strategic Client Engagement: develop and deliver regional facultative ceding strategy.
Team Collaboration: build strong relationships with reinsurance and underwriting colleagues.
Market Negotiation: negotiate terms, pricing and conditions for FAC reinsurance.
Portfolio Optimisation: manage and renew the existing facultative portfolio.
Analytics Discovery: work with analytics and risk modelling to identify needs.
Client Management: maintain relationships with cedants and brokers.
Operational Excellence: ensure accurate deal documentation, reporting, and reserving.
Compliance: align placements with governance and regulatory requirements.
New Market Ideation: monitor market developments to optimise products and portfolio.
