Job summary

Western Express is seeking a detail-oriented claims intake specialist to act as the primary call taker and data entry resource for incoming claims. You will manage documentation, communicate with drivers and claimants, and ensure timely processing in the AS400 system.

You will support subrogation efforts, coordinate with the accounts payable process, and handle correspondence distribution. A High School Diploma is required.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the primary call taker for claims coming into the claims office
• Serves as the primary/secondary claims entry specialist and assists with daily population of claims in the AS400 for incidents
• Assists with consolidation and dissemination of relevant claim documentation and contact drivers, claimants, and others to populate claim documents
• Tracks claims ready for payment from release to accounts payable and final closing in AS400
• Delivery, pickup, distribution of all correspondence including US mail and claims staff communications
• Order and distribute police reports as necessary
• Assist subrogation adjuster in efforts to recover money for damage to Western Express property and document follow ups

Responsibilities

• Serves as the primary call taker for claims coming into the claims office
• Serves as the primary/secondary claims entry specialist and assists with the daily population of claims in the AS400 for all incidents generated between the last business day and 12pm
• Serves as the primary/secondary claims intake specialist and assists with the consolidation and dissemination of relevant claim supporting documentation responsible for contacting drivers, claimants, and/or obtaining follow up information necessary to completely populate the claim documents and distributes telephone messages to the appropriate members of claims staff accurate completion and distribution of property damage release forms to claimants, as requested by claims adjusters
• Tracks claims that are ready for payment from receipt of the executed release form, through the accounts payable office an finally closing the claim in the AS400 once claim is complete
• Delivery, pickup, internal distribution of all correspondence including US mail and/or correspondence for the claims staff
• Order and distribute police reports as necessary or as requested by adjusters
• Assist the subrogation adjuster in efforts t recover money owed for damage to Western Express property to include documentation of follow up communications with responsible parties and/or insurance carriers
