Job summary

Western Express seeks a detail-oriented claims assistant to act as primary call taker for claims, enter and update records in the AS/400 system, and coordinate with drivers and claimants. You will manage documentation, release forms, and communications across the claims staff while ensuring timely processing.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of employment laws and company policies.

• Proficient use of Microsoft Office and AS/400 for claims data entry and tracking.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary call taker for incoming claims.
• Enter and populate claims in AS/400 from last business day to 12pm.
• Coordinate with drivers, claimants, and staff to gather documentation.
• Distribute and file release forms to claimants as directed.
• Track and process claims for payment through accounts payable.
• Assist subrogation with recovery efforts and communications with insurers.
